The Black Bull is a good base to enjoy some excellent Midlands golf courses. Sherwood Forest Golf Club, Notts Golf Club (Hollinwell) and Coxmoor golf Club are no more than a ten minute drive away and you could be teeing up at Lindrick within the hour.

Wollaton Hall and Deer Park is a spectacular Elizabethan mansion and park set in the heart of Nottingham. There's plenty to do on your visit, take a look around the Natural History Museum, go behind the scenes with a tour of 'hidden Wollaton'.
The Minster is central to any visit you make to this historic town. You could have a day at the races, learn more about the home of the bramley apple, browse the many independent shops, see yet another home of Lord Byron or visit the Workhouse. They are all in Southwell and surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Clumber Park is one of several diverse National Trust properties within easy driving distance. It was once the country estate of the Dukes of Newcastle. The house was demolished in the 1930’s but the chapel remains along with a walled kitchen garden and the beautiful park. Hire a bike and ride around the lake or take your time and feed the ducks.
